First Half

Mid-America Christian came out on the strong attack early as Jack Price had a chance with a header shot to put the Evangels on the board however Danilo Vilani made a diving save to reject the MACU opportunity. OCU struggled to gain much of a possession as Jordan Da Costa took the only two shot attempts for the Stars in the first half and left with no attempts on-goal. MACU had one last chance with another header this time coming from Diego Real and yet again Vilani came up with another big save to keep the number one team in the country off the board in the first half.

 Second Half

Out of the break, both defenses ramped up as the Evangels did not get an on-goal attempt until the 71st minute as Federico Palacios gave it a try but Vilani continued to deny the entries. Oklahoma City got its first and only shot on-goal in the 78th minute as Marco Alongi got out on the run and launched the attempt from right at the top of the 18-yard box which was saved by the MACU keeper. Shortly after, in the 80th minute, Mid-America Christian made its mark as Kolby Godbolt received the pass from Pietro Musso to get it past the hand of Vilani and give MACU its first score of the night. Oklahoma City couldn't grab much more of the possession as the Evangels ran the clock out and escaped with a tight victory of 1-0 over the Stars.
