PLAINVIEW, TEXAS – The Oklahoma City men's soccer team put together a strong defensive performance with only 13 players available as the match ended in a scoreless draw against Wayland Baptist.

First Half
Wayland Baptist controlled almost all of the possession in the first half as the Pioneers took nine shots but failed to cash in as Danilo Vilani made four saves to keep Wayland at zero. OCU took its first shot in the 33rd minute as Bernardo Duarte's attempt went wide. Finally nearing the end of the first half Jayson Riley gave it a try with a shot on goal that was saved by the Wayland goalkeeper as the game went into the halftime break with no score.
Second Half
Coming out in the second half both sides shared possession as shots went back and forth as neither could strike a goal. Wayland took 12 shots in the second half as Vilani saved five of the attempts and held the Pioneers scoreless. OCU took six chances with five coming on goal but could not find the net as the time expired with neither team finding a goal through 90 minutes to conclude the match in a 0-0 draw.
GAME NOTES
- Oklahoma City took eight shots with six coming on goal while Wayland Baptist attempted 21 shots with 12 on-goal attempts.
- Jordan Da Costa and Jayson Riley each led the Stars with two shots each as both individuals had two shots on goal.
- Danilo Vilani tied a season-high nine saves with the previous time coming against Our Lady of the Lake back on Sept. 2.
- Oklahoma City finishes with a tie for the third time this season and has its second 0-0 draw in October.
- The tie moves the all-time series record to 7-5-3 in favor of Oklahoma City dating back to 2009.
