OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's men's soccer team came out on top vs. Friends (Kan.) 4-1 with three second-half goals Saturday at Brian Harvey Field.
Jusung Kang stood front and center for Oklahoma City with two goals. The Stars improved to 3-0 this season.
OCU got the scoring started off with a goal by Kang around the 20-minute mark. Kang, a senior from Dae Jeon, South Korea, made a great play on the ball after the goalkeeper came out of his goal.
The next goal was in the 50-minute mark as Gustavo Cardoso lobbed a ball right to John Woodhead, who headed it in for his second goal on the season. The next goal was from freshman Sage Trevino, which would be his first collegiate goal.
Finally, the last goal from the Stars came off the foot of Kang again as he singlehandedly made a 40-yard goal from just outside midfield. His shot just went over the head of the goalkeeper for Friends.
OCU had 16 total shots with 10 of those being on goal. The Stars' Danilo Vilani ended with four saves on the game.
The Stars' next game will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Brian Harvey Field against University of the Southwest (N.M.).
