OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University remained unbeaten on the men's soccer season after a 3-1 defeat of Randall on Tuesday at Brian Harvey Field.
Lucas de Freitas, a senior from São Paulo, Brazil, supplied the winning goal for Oklahoma City. The Stars moved to 2-0 this year.
The Stars' first goal came in the 16th minute on a perfectly placed corner kick by Jordan Da Costa that Ignacio Sarasol headed in to take a 1-0 lead. The only goal by Randall would come shortly after in the 23rd minute.
De Freitas broke the early tie with a goal assisted by John Woodhead in the 25th minute. OCU went scoreless until Jusung Kang scored off another corner from da Costa in the 50th minute. Overall, de Freitas collected his second goal, and da Costa collected his third assist in two games played on the season.
Danilo Vilani allowed one early goal and picked up three saves on the night.
The Stars' next game will be against Friends (Kan.) at 7 p.m. Saturday at Brian Harvey Field.
