LANGSTON – No. 1-ranked Oklahoma City University extended its winning streak to eight games with a doubleheader sweep over Langston on Tuesday afternoon. OCU banged out 11 hits en route to a 7-0 win in the opener before erupting for a season-high 19 hits in a 17-1 run rule win in game two.

Shelbey Cornelson (21-2) earned the win with a complete game shutout effort. She allowed four hits with a season-high 13 strikeouts and two walks.

OCU (35-4, 21-3 SAC) scored eight runs in the top of the first inning to put game two away quickly. Duff got the scoring started with a two-out two-run homerun. Senior
Kennedy Jackson hit a two-run shot later in the frame to increase the lead to 7-0.
