OKLAHOMA CITY – No. 2-ranked Oklahoma City University is in fourth place in a field of 14 teams after the opening round of the Broncho Invitational. The tournament is being held at the par-72, 7,120 yard Gaillardia Country Club.
OCU carded a plus-18 round of 306. That is eight strokes off the pace of first place Southwestern Christian University (298). Hutchinson Community College is in second place (302) and the Southwestern Christian B team is one stroke ahead of the Stars in third-place with a 305 card. NCAA Division II foe Southeastern Oklahoma State is in fifth place with a 310 outing.
NCAA Division II No. 6 ranked Oklahoma Christian is in seventh place (316) and tournament host Central Oklahoma is in eighth place (317).
OCU has three golfers in the top 20 with freshman
Dylan Teeter in a tie for eighth place (74), senior
Will Fore in a tie for 11th place (75) and senior
Dalton Daniel in a tie for 17th place (76).
Freshman
Tres Hill is tied for 49th place (81) and sophomore
Bo Robbins is in 77th place (90).
OCU's Blue team is in 14
th place with a 354 card. Competing for the Blue team are junior
Carson Breckenridge (84), sophomore Thionnet (87), freshman
Jacob Wright (89), sophomore Bosten Ben (94) and freshman
Caleb Allen (107).
The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday, starting at noon with tee times off the first and 10th holes.
