OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University outlasted Southwestern Christian 77-72 in overtime Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
Abby Selzer fueled Oklahoma City with 24 points. The Stars improved to 15-10, 10-10 in Sooner Athletic Conference women's basketball.
Selzer, a senior from Thomas, Okla., added nine rebounds, four blocked shots and two steals while shooting 10-for-13 from the field.
Annilia Dawn produced 20 points, five rebounds and 11 assists. Dawn, a senior from Amarillo, Texas, reached 20 points for the second time this season while dishing out a career high for assists. Fiona Wilson, a junior from Greenland, Ark., chipped in 10 points and six rebounds for OCU.
Southwestern Christian tied the game 67-67 on Lauren Masquat's free throws with 27 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
In overtime, Dawn downed four free throws to put OCU on top 73-70 with 1:09 to play. Erika Ankney added free throws with five seconds showing for the final margin. The Stars kept Southwestern Christian to 1-of-6 shooting from the field in the overtime period.
Oklahoma City went to 3-0 in overtime games this season. The Stars went to overtime in both victories over Southwestern Christian in 2021-22.
The Stars go to Fort Worth, Texas, for a 6 p.m. contest against Texas Wesleyan on Thursday.
