FORT WORTH, Texas – Texas Wesleyan defeated Oklahoma City University 76-66 in Sooner Athletic Conference action on Thursday night at Sid Richardson Center on the TWU campus.

TWU (22-5, 16-5 SAC) held its biggest lead of the game at 64-51 at the 5:27 mark of the fourth quarter. OCU (15-11, 10-11) battled back at that point, going on a 13-4 run to cut the deficit to 68-64 on a jumper by senior guard
Annilia Dawn at the 2:17 mark.

That is as close as the Stars would get, however, with the Rams ending the game with an 8-2 run. OCU missed three straight field goal attempts after getting close before
Erika Ankney made an uncontested lay-up with 21 seconds remaining.

Ankney finished with a team-high 23 points for the Stars. Dawn and senior center
Abby Selzer contributed 15 points apiece with Selzer adding a team-high 14 rebounds.

With her 15-point outing, Selzer moves into a tie for fifth place on the all-time OCU scoring list with 1,687 career points. She shares that career mark with Lauren Gober.

OCU will conclude the regular season on Saturday at Science & Arts. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
