• Oklahoma City University's Super Tuesday men's basketball matchup pits the Stars against Sooner Athletic Conference foe John Brown (Ark.)
• The Stars play John Brown in two Tuesday contests this season. OCU has a 13-6 record in Tuesday games over the previous five seasons

ABOUT THE STARS
• The Stars cruised to a 74-64 win over Central Christian (Kan.) on Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena. OCU (4-6, 2-2 Sooner Athletic Conference) owns a 3-0 home mark this season with three consecutive league games at Abe Lemons Arena coming up
• Avery Jackson, a 6-foot-3 freshman from Frisco, Texas, totaled 19 points and five rebounds Saturday. He shot 5-for-8 from the field and 8-for-10 from the foul line. Jackson provides OCU with 17.4 points and 4.6 rebounds a contest with a 53.6 percent field-goal percentage and 51.4 percent 3-point shooting clip in 2022-23
• Jack McWilliams, a 7-1 freshman from Sydney, Australia, scored a season-high 13 points to go with five rebounds. McWilliams sank 6 of 12 attempts from the field. He is the fifth 7-footer in OCU's program history, joining Eddie Jackson (1962-65), Norm Russell (1970-73), Rodney Henderson (1989-90) and Tate Decker (2000-01). McWilliams has posted 4.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game this season
• OCU ranks 37th in the NAIA this season with 29.0 defensive rebounds a game
• The Stars came in seventh in the preseason SAC coaches poll. OCU owns 13 SAC regular-season championships and 10 SAC Tournament titles. Oklahoma City has advanced to the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament 25 times all-time and has won six national championships in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2007 and 2008
• Oklahoma City leads the series vs. John Brown 40-20. On Jan. 25, OCU rallied past John Brown 73-62 in Siloam Springs, Ark. Kori Guest collected 18 points and five rebounds as the Stars overcame a 13-point first-half deficit
ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
• John Brown fell to 15th-ranked Langston 78-46 on Saturday in Siloam Springs, Ark. The Golden Eagles (3-7, 1-3 SAC) lost to Langston for the first time in program history
• Noah Taylor, a 5-10 junior, had 11 points and two assists with a team-high three 3-pointers. Taylor has averaged 8.3 points and 1.6 rebounds per game this season
• The Golden Eagles have put up 28.5 3-point attempts a game to rank 11th in the NAIA in 2022-23
• John Brown landed in eighth in the preseason SAC coaches poll
ABOUT THE COACHES
Mark Berokoff (21-20, second season with OCU)
• Mark Berokoff directed Oklahoma City to a 17-14 record in his first season as the Stars' head coach. The Stars collected the No. 3 seed in the SAC Tournament and earned their most conference wins since 2009-10 with a 15-7 mark
• Berokoff directed Randall to three national championships and a national runner-up showing in nine years as head coach of the Saints. Berokoff led Randall to a 147-122 mark. Randall annually squared off with SAC teams and knocked off OCU twice in that span
• Berokoff produced five national player of the year honorees, 16 all-Americans, three national tournament outstanding player award winners and one scholar all-American with Randall. Berkoff became two-time national coach of the year
• Berokoff's coaching career spans the high school, college and professional levels. His combined head-coaching record over 20 years in the college and prep ranks was 389-213 entering the 2022-23 season
Jason Beschta (ninth season at JBU, 141-106)
• Led the Golden Eagles to a school-record 28-5 mark for the 2019-20 season. JBU was ranked No. 9 in the NAIA rankings entering the 2020 NAIA National Tournament
• In 2018-19, Beschta guided John Brown to its first 20-win season and NAIA Tournament appearance since 2013-14
• Prior to his arrival at JBU, Beschta led Oklahoma Wesleyan for three seasons, amassing a 62-36 record at OKWU. He led the Eagles to a round of 16 finish in the NAIA Division II Tournament in 2012-13, finishing that season 25-10
