SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – John Brown defeated Oklahoma City University 87-69 in Sooner Athletic Conference action at Bill George Arena.
 
After holding a 40-29 halftime lead, JBU (10-12, 6-8 SAC) went on 13-4 run to build an insurmountable 53-33 lead midway through the third quarter. That Golden Eagle lead stood at 64-45 entering the fourth quarter.
 
Senior center Abby Selzer led OCU (12-7, 7-7 SAC) with 20 points and nine rebounds. Junior guard Paige Pendley finished with 12 points and senior guard Annilia Dawn contributed 11 points for the Stars.
 
OCU returns to action on Thursday with a home game against Southwestern Assemblies of God. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Abe Lemons Arena.
