OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University utilized a fantastic final eight minutes to post a 74-57 win over Central Christian (Kan.) in Sooner Athletic Conference play on Thursday evening at Abe Lemons Arena.

OCU (11-6, 6-6 SAC) led 41-27 at halftime and held a double-digit lead for most of the third quarter. CCCK (1-18, 0-12) fought back to cut the Star lead to 54-50 on a Meya Gibson jumper at the 7:37 mark of the fourth quarter.

The Stars responded to the close call by going on a 20-7 run over the last seven and a half minutes to secure the win.

Senior guard
Annilia Dawn provided OCU a 64-54 lead with a lay-up at the 3:50 mark before senior guard
Erika Ankney put the game away with back-to-back 3-pointers, stretching the margin to 70-56.

OCU played the game at full strength for the first time in over a month. A total of 10 players saw action for OCU in the win.

Abby Selzer reached a statistical milestone by finishing with a team-high 27 points and 11 rebounds. That offensive outing pushed her past the 1,500 career point total. The four-year standout has now registered 1,515 career points.

Ankney finished with 19 points and junior forward
Fiona Wilson recorded eight points and seven rebounds.

Brett Tahah was thrilled to see Selzer reach such an important milestone.
