MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Oklahoma City University routed Bacone College 20-1 in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon, extending the OCU winning streak to five matches.
Sophomore
Tommaso Belli scored six goals for the Stars while seniors
Lucas de Freitas and
Ljubisa Palic added four goals apiece. Senior
Harvey Paul and junior
Thomas McElyea added two scores apiece with senior Aleska Mitrovic contributed one goal.
Belli got the scoring started 15 seconds into the match when he found the back of the net at the near post off on assist from the end line from de Freitas. OCU completely dominated the game against the over-matched Warriors, finishing with a 34-3 edge in shots.
OCU will take a 12-day break before returning to action to open Sooner Athletic Conference play at home against Mid-American Christian on Tuesday, Sept. 28. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start at Brian Harvey Field.
