Wilson joins Stars

Junior from Greeland, Ark., became all-region performer at Crowder

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University landed Fiona Wilson from Crowder (Mo.) for its women's basketball team.

Wilson, a rising junior from Greenland, Ark., garnered all-NJCAA Region XVI and two region player of the week accolades last season.

In 2020-21, Wilson led Crowder in scoring (19.2 points a game) and 3-pointers (60). Wilson added 5.1 rebounds and 1.91 steals a contest with 89 percent shooting from the free-throw line. She piled up 30 points three times, including 38 against State Fair (Mo.) on March 13.

As a high school senior, Wilson recorded 19.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.60 steals per contest.

Last season, the Stars were undefeated during the regular season for the first time since 2002-03. OCU held foes to a 34.3 percent field-goal percentage, which ranked eighth in the NAIA.

Oklahoma City has won nine national titles in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017.
