WINFIELD. Kan. - Southwestern College defeated Oklahoma City University 1-0 on Saturday night at Richard L.Jantz Stadium.
Bryanna Kuhn scored the game-winner for Southwestern (1-0) when she snuck one by the left post from 15 yards out after receiving a long pass from Paige Roberts in the 51st minute.
Freshman goalkeeper
Grace Reese kept OCU (1-1) in the game by making five saves, including diving saves on a penalty kick in the 59th minute and a short-range Southwestern blast in the 64th minute. The Stars could not find the equalizer, however, with the offense finishing with only one shot on goal for the evening.
OCU will play on the home field twice this week, facing York (Neb.) on Thursday and Randall on Saturday. First kick Thursday's home-opener is scheduled for noon at Brian Harvey Field.
