Second-ranked Stars remain one of two teams undefeated in SAC Tournament

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University rolled to a 5-0 victory over Central Christian (Kan.) and an 8-0 win over Texas Wesleyan on Thursday at Ann Lacy Stadium in the Sooner Athletic Conference softball tournament.
Oklahoma City (42-3) moved to 2-0 in pool play of the SAC Tournament. The Stars, ranked second in the NAIA, faces Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) at noon Friday with a berth in the conference tournament title game at stake.
Against Texas Wesleyan, Christie Betker hurled her third no-hitter of the year. Betker, a senior from Reno, Nev., set down the opposition in order through 3.1 innings before allowing a walk to Allie Prewitt. Baileigh Loux pounded RBI doubles to left field in the first and fourth innings. Kennedy Jackson tacked on another run in the second on a double to left.
Amy Crabaugh nailed a two-run double over the center fielder's head as part of a three-run third inning. Crabaugh crushed a two-run home run to finish the game.
Crabaugh, a sophomore from Edmond, Okla., put together a 3-for-3 performance with two runs scored and four RBIs, and Loux, a senior from Reno, Nev., went 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Jackson, a senior from Moore, Okla., was 2-for-3 with a run scored and a run driven in.
