Cornelson fires no-hitter for Stars

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University knocked off Mid-America Christian 4-0 and 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Ann Lacy Stadium.
Kaitlyn Jones smacked a two-run double, and Shelbey Cornelson threw a no-hitter to key the Stars' effort. Oklahoma City, ranked fourth in NAIA softball, improved to 23-3, 16-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
In the first game, Jones belted a double deep into the left-field corner to bring home two runs in the second inning. Jaden Shores lofted a sacrifice fly deep to left-center to put OCU ahead 4-0.
In the first inning, Shores took a hit by pitch with the bases full to plate the Stars' first run.
