Stars battle to draw with Houston-Victoria

OCU shuts out foe for fourth consecutive outing

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University finished in a scoreless deadlock after two overtime periods with Houston-Victoria on Tuesday at Brian Harvey Field.
Both men's soccer teams remain undefeated on the season with 4-0-1 records. The Stars collected their fourth shutout in a row.
Houston-Victoria owned a 12-4 advantage in shots. Houston-Victoria bounced a shot off the crossbar in the 32nd minute and 94th minute.
In the 97th minute, Lucas de Freitas of OCU made an attack on the goal and got inside the penalty box, but didn't get the cross pass.
In the 76th minute, Houston-Victoria's Jean Bosco Irumva came close to a loose ball near the goal, but the Stars recovered in time to keep Irumva away from the ball.
Danilo Vilani, a junior from Goiânia, Brazil, made one save for Oklahoma City.
The Stars take on John Brown (Ark.) at 3 p.m. Saturday in Siloam Springs, Ark.
