OCU drops regular-season finale 2-1 to USAO

Stars look forward to postseason

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University suffered a 2-1 setback to USAO on Saturday at Brian Harvey Field.
USAO rallied past the Stars with two second-half goals. Oklahoma City closed the regular season at 8-3, 6-3 in Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer.
Ashton Seratte capitalized on a loose ball following her teammate Sofia Carvajal Granados' shot to score OCU's goal. Seratte, a freshman from Norman, Okla., posted her first college goal in the 58th minute.
Emma Rice scored the tying goal in the 77th minute from beyond the penalty box on the left side of the goal. Rice struck for the go-ahead goal from nearly the same spot on the field in the 78th minute.
Each team took 16 shots. Josie Knox, a junior from Edmond, Okla., picked up four saves for OCU.
