Stars suffer 5-1 setback to Southwestern Christian

OCU goes to 4-2-1 in league play

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University fell to Southwestern Christian 5-1 on Saturday night at Brian Harvey Field.
OCU dropped to 5-2-2, 4-2-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference men's soccer. Southwestern Christian (10-0-3, 6-0-1 SAC) tallied the most goals against the Stars this season.
The Stars tied the match in the 24th minute. Jusung Kang turned in the goal off an assist from Tommaso Belli. Belli dribbled into the penalty box and fell as he passed to Kang, who was by himself on the left side of the goal. Kang, a junior from Dae Jeon, South Korea, notched his second goal of the season to level the score.
Danilo Vilani collected four saves, including one to snuff out a penalty-kick shot by Tom Hausdoerfer of Southwestern Christian in the 22nd minute. Vilani, a junior from Goiânia, Brazil, dove to his right to make the stab.
Hausdoerfer finished with two goals and an assist.
Oklahoma City meets Panhandle State at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Goodwell, Okla.
