Stars crush Southwestern Assemblies of God 10-0

OCU posts best goal total since Sept. 6, 2010

WAXAHACHIE, Texas – Oklahoma City University routed Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) 10-0 on Tuesday afternoon at SAGU Field.
The Stars scored their most goals since a 10-0 romp past Texas College on Sept. 6, 2010 in Shreveport, La. Oklahoma City improved to 3-0, 3-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference men's soccer.
Lucas de Freitas produced four goals for the Stars. De Freitas, a junior from São Paulo, Brazil, became the first Star to score four goals since Aboubakr Diallo performed the feat Oct. 11, 2018 against Bacone in Oklahoma City. De Freitas fired in goals in the 13th, 37th, 79th minute and the 88th minute.
Ljubisa Palic supplied OCU with a goal in the 67th minute and two assists. Tommaso Belli added a pair of goals using assists by Palic, a junior from St. Gallen, Switzerland. Belli scored in the 57th minute and the 64th minute.
The Stars' Wyatt Long knocked in an unassisted goal in the 15th minute and recorded an assist on Palic's goal. Guilherme Grave posted OCU's first goal in the 11th minute. Harvey Paul dished out two assists, including one on Jusung Kang's goal at the 47:06 mark. OCU owned a 40-7 advantage in shots.
Danilo Vilani landed his second consecutive shutout. Vilani, a junior from Goiania, Brazil, snared three saves.
Oklahoma City takes on Texas Wesleyan at 7 p.m. Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas.
