SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Oklahoma City University fell to John Brown (Ark.) 98-74 on Saturday at Bill George Arena.
Eric Amandio, a junior from Luanda, Angola, topped OCU with 19 points. The Stars concluded the regular season 2-6, 2-6 in Sooner Athletic Conference men's basketball.
Amandio shot 7-for-10 from the field and swiped three steals. Rashaun Coleman, a senior from Houston, totaled 17 points, seven rebounds and four steals.
Kealon Clayborne, a senior from Cedar Hill, Texas, turned in 13 points and three assists, while Romario Spence, a senior from Luton, England, provided Oklahoma City with 12 points and four rebounds.
John Brown became the first team to shoot 50 percent from the field against the Stars this season. The Golden Eagles connected on 37 of its 68 field-goal attempts for a 54.4 percent field-goal percentage. John Brown avenged its 75-74 setback to OCU on Jan. 30 in Oklahoma City.
The Stars made 10 steals to hit double digits in thefts for the second time this season.
The SAC Tournament begins Wednesday with quarterfinal games. The tournament semifinals will be Saturday, Feb. 27 with the championship March 2. All games will be on campus sites. The pairings will be announced Sunday with the seeds determined by the conference oversight committee.
