McPHERSON, Kan. – Central Christian (Kan.) defeated Oklahoma City University 3-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference action on Tuesday night The contest was the regular season finale for both teams.

Central Christian (13-4-1, 5-4 SAC) led 1-0 at the half on the strength of a goal from Rachel Schlagel. Senior
Madi Caputo evened the score for OCU (9-7, 4-5) with a left-footed score from just outside the 18-yard line in the 47th minute.

The Lady Tigers took the lead back in the 65th minute before the Stars answered again in the 68th minute when senior
Millie Templeman scored from 15 yards out off a header from freshman
Ciana Carlton.

Alexa Riddle scored in the 73rd minute to push Central to a 3-2 lead. OCU was unable to answer that score, with the final chance being a shot by Caputo that was saved Central Christian goalkeeper Lizbeth Garcia in the 88th minute.

OCU out-shot CCCK 16-8 with a 9-7 edge in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper
Josie Knox made four saves for the Stars while Garcia made seven saves for the Lady Tigers.

Tonight's loss places OCU as the sixth seed in the upcoming Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament. The Stars will open tournament play with a quarterfinal road contest at Wayland Baptist on Saturday.
