MARSHALL, Texas – Oklahoma City University jumped to an early lead and never looked back in defeating Wiley College 81-68 in non-conference action on Monday night.

OCU (2-0) led 18-11 after the first quarter and 45-28 at the half over the Lady Wildcats. The Stars did not let up in final 20 minutes of play, pushing the lead to 54-34 on a layup by senior
Selena Driskill with 7:02 remaining in the third quarter before taking a 67-44 lead on a 3-pointer by senior
Annilia Dawn with 7:58 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Wiley (0-2) ended the game with a 24-14 run after Dawn's trey to cut the final margin to 13 points.

Four Stars scored in double-figures with seniors
Erika Ankney and
Abby Selzer leading the way with 19 points apiece. Dawn contributed 13 points and junior
Fiona Wilson finished with 13 points.

Selzer led the team with 11 rebounds and three blocks, Ankney finished with a team-high eight assists and freshman
Elaine Witt contributed a team-high three steals.

OCU out-rebounded Wiley 57-31 while making 23 of 27 free throws (85.2%) compared to 10 of 15 free throws made (66.7%) by the Lady Wildcats.
