EDMOND, Okla. – Oklahoma City University carded a final team round of 10-under-par 278 at the Rose Creek Classic on Tuesday to cruise to a first-place finish in its final fall tournament of the season.
OCU, ranked fifth in the NAIA men's golf rankings, finished the par-72, 54-hole tournament with an 832. That was 18 strokes better than second-place Southwestern Christian University (850).
OCU golfers took the top three spots in the tournament, with senior
Dalton Daniel finishing first (67-68-67 = 202), freshman
Dylan Teeter finishing second (69-68-67=204) and freshman
Tres Hill placing third (66-71-71=208).
Freshman
Jose Ramirez finished in a tie for 11th place (72-73-73=218) and senior
Will Fore tied for 17th place (73-74-74=221).
The OCU Blue Team finished in fifth place with a team card of 926. Sophomores
Robbie Sager (75-71-72) and
Bo Robbins (75-71-72) finished in a tie for 11th place with a 218 for the Blue Team.
Freshman
Jacob Wright finished in a tie for 19th place at 222 (77-71-74) with sophomore
Ben Thionnet finishing 28th (86-76-73=232) and junior
Carson Breckenridge placing 43rd (78-85-81=244).
