OKLAHOMA CITY –Oklahoma City University edged Texas Wesleyan 1-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference play on Tuesday night at Brian Harvey Field. The Senior Night win snapped a three-game OCU losing streak and set the Stars up for an important stretch of three conference road games to close-out the regular season.

Lucas de Freitas scored the game-winner for OCU (8-5, 2-4 SAC) when he left-footed a shot just inside the left post from 18 yards out in the 57th minute. Senior
Jusung Kang set up that score with a nifty pass to de Freitas.

TWU (6-5-2, 1-3-1) kept up the offensive pressure all night, finishing with nine corner kicks and an 8-2 edge in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper
Danilo Vilani was up to the challenge for the Stars. He made eight saves, many of them on rocket shots from the Rams.

OCU will return to action on Friday with a road game at Southwestern Christian. Kickoff against the Eagles in scheduled for 3 p.m. in Bethany.
