OKLAHOMA CITY –Seventh-ranked John Brown shutout Oklahoma City University 3-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Brian Harvey Field.
 
JBU (10-1, 5-0 SAC) scored two goals in the eighth minute to jump to an early 2-0 lead over the Stars. The rest of the game was played pretty evenly but OCU (7-5, 2-3) could not generate many offensive opportunities against the defensive-minded Golden Eagles.
 
JBU finished with a 17-6 edge in total shots and an 11-3 edge in shots on goal. Senior Josie Knox finished with eight saves for the Stars and Caitlyn Logan made three saves for the visiting team.
 
OCU will return to action for its 2021 home finale and Senior Day on Tuesday night against Texas Wesleyan. Kickoff against TWU is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Brian Harvey Field.
