Stars get shut out at Southwestern Christian

OCU falls to 5-4 on the season

BETHANY, Okla. – Oklahoma City University lost to Southwestern Christian 1-0 on Saturday at Cagle Family Field.
After 71 scoreless minutes, the Stars found themselves trailing when Victor Arias scored for Southwestern Christian on a ball from Brian Romero. Oklahoma City fell to 5-4 in men's soccer.
OCU had six shots (two on goal) and three corners, but didn't find the back of the net. Fernando Toledo, a senior from São Paulo, Brazil, and Julio Hernandez, a senior from El Reno, Okla., both collected a shot on goal for the Stars.
Andre Salvador, a senior from São Bento do Sul, Brazil, played all 90 minutes and had nine saves for the Stars.
OCU returns home at 7 p.m. Tuesday to face Panhandle State at Brian Harvey Field.
