OKLAHOMA CITY – The eighth annual Champions Cup benefiting Oklahoma City University's men's golf program takes place Nov. 4 at Gaillardia Country Club.
The tournament tees off 12:30 p.m. Nov. 5. Registration starts 11:30 a.m. that day. An awards ceremony comes after the event at 5:30 p.m.
OCU alumni and fans are invited to help the Stars maintain their championship tradition by taking part in the Champions Cup. Proceeds from the Champions Cup are critical to the ongoing success of OCU's success. Gaillardia Country Club's golf course was designed by award-winning course architect Arthur Hills. Hills is known for his natural approach, reputation for being environmentally friendly and unwavering commitment to excellence. The golf course opened in July 1998. Gaillardia, located at 5300 Gaillardia Boulevard in Oklahoma City, hosted the 2001 and '02 Senior Tour Championships. Gaillardia's French-Normandy-style clubhouse has been recognized as one of the top 100 clubhouses in the world.
The Stars opened the season with a victory in the 47th edition of the U.C. Ferguson Classic. Oklahoma City has captured the most NAIA men's golf championships, 11 won in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2018.
