OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University stomped Texas A&M-Texarkana 4-0 at Brian Harvey Field on Saturday.
Ljubisa Palic, a sophomore from St. Gallen, Switzerland, collected two goals to lead OCU. Palic finished with three shots, all on goal. OCU improved to 3-3 on the season with the win.
Palic scored the first two goals of the afternoon, with the first coming in the 13th minute on a penalty kick and the second coming in the 28th minute. Skyler Roehr provided an assist on the second goal.
Guilherme Grave, a junior from São Paulo, Brazil, added to the scoring with a goal in the 43rd minute on an empty net tap-in. The final goal of the afternoon came in the 70th minute, where Julio Hernandez, a senior from El Reno, Okla., launched a 16-yard rocket off the crossbar and into the net off a throw-in from Aleksa Mitrovic.
The Eagles edge the Stars 11 to 8 on shots for the match, while OCU collected seven shots on goal to TAMUT's two.
Andre Salvador collected two saves to pick up the win.
Oklahoma City returns to action against Bethany (Kan.) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Brian Harvey Field.
