BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Oklahoma City University men's indoor track and field team will be sending Moses Dirane to the NAIA indoor national championships to run Saturday at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
Dirane Dirane, a junior from Hammanskraal, South Africa, will compete in the 1,000-meter run, where he qualified with a time of two minutes, 31.49 seconds.
Oscar Kipkoros and Max McNeill made the final in the men's 3,000-meter run without having to race in the semifinals due to a limited number of runners in the event.
Kipkoros, a junior from Iten, Kenya, qualified in first place in the 3,000-meter race with a time of 8:23.05 at the Pittsburg State Indoor Gorilla Classic on Feb. 10. McNeill, a junior from Uphall Station, Scotland, finished the 3,000-meter race at the Pittsburg State Indoor Gorilla Classic on Feb. 9, with a time of 8:39.95 to qualify seventh.
The finals will start at 12:35 p.m. Saturday, with the awards ceremony happening at 5:30 p.m.
