Stars' Soper takes fourth in Head of Oklahoma Regatta

Senior from Audubon, N.J., collects fourth-place showings in open single events

OKLAHOMA CITY – Juliana Soper from Oklahoma City University picked up fourth-place finishes in the women's open single night sprint and head race Saturday in the Head of the Oklahoma Regatta on the Oklahoma River.
OCU also nabbed a fourth-place showing in the open double during the OG&E Nightsprints.
Soper, a senior from Audubon, N.J., covered the 500-meter course in 2 minutes, 6.20 seconds to finish fourth in the women's open single during the night sprints. OCU's Rachel Marr took fifth with her 2:18.30 time.
In the open double, Oklahoma City completed the race in 2:02.85 to finish fourth.
In the first event of the day, Soper collected fourth in the open single with a 19:47.42. Marr, a freshman from St. Charles, Ill., finished fifth with a 21:25.30.
Racing continues 8 a.m. Sunday in the Head of the Oklahoma Regatta on the Oklahoma River.
