TEXARKANA, Texas – Oklahoma City University beat Texas A&M-Texarkana 1-0 on Thursday at Eagle Field.
The game was scoreless for the first 53 minutes of play until the Stars' Bailey Webb, a sophomore from Oklahoma City, launched a shot that found the back of the net to give OCU the lead 1-0. OCU went to 2-1-1 in women's soccer.
Kirsten Thomas, a senior from Keller, Texas, collected two saves en route to her third straight shutout of the season and improved to 2-1-1. Tinotenda Charuma tallied three saves and dropped to 0-4 as the Eagles goalkeeper this year.
Oklahoma City owned the shot advantage nine shots to five shots, while also leading in shots on goal four shots to two shots.
OCU returns to action 5 p.m. Tuesday against USAO at Stars Field to open up conference play.
