OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University scooped up a 2-0 win over St. Thomas (Texas) on Saturday at Stars Field.
Madi Caputo and Rachel Brantley both scored their first goals for the Stars. OCU improved to 1-1-1.
Caputo, a freshman from Broken Arrow, Okla., struck first for the Stars, scoring in the 17th minute. Brantley, a junior from Broken Arrow, Okla., would add her goal in the 62nd minute.
Goalkeeper Kirsten Thomas, a senior from Keller, Texas, tallied seven saves en route to her second straight shutout for OCU. Emma Pinkerton saved three shots and allowed two goals, falling to 2-2.
Oklahoma City meets Texas A&M-Texarkana at 3 p.m. Thursday in Texarkana, Texas.
