The Stars got 22 points from Daniela Galindo and 19 points and 12 rebounds from NaShyla Hammons. OCU, ranked fourth in NAIA Division I women's basketball, fell to 20-5 overall and 13-3 in Sooner Athletic Conference play while Wayland Baptist improved to 20-3 on the season and 13-2 in the SAC.

The Flying Queens raced to a 20-7 lead with 9:15 left in the second, getting seven points from their bench. Wayland Baptist finished with 23 total bench points while the Stars had just 11.
A layup from Hammons cut the WBU lead to seven with 4:13 to go in the half, but the Flying Queens closed the second quarter on a 12-9 run and headed to the break leading by double digits. OCU got 10 of its 24 points in the paint in the second quarter.
The Stars went on a 7-0 run to start the third quarter, getting a three from Galindo, a layup from Brooke Irwin and then a layup from Taylor LaCour.
