OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University cruised past Randall 4-0 on Thursday at Stars Field.
Oklahoma City dominated the shots 21-0. OCU, ranked 25th in NAIA women's soccer, improved to 4-2-2 on the season, while Randall dropped to 1-5-1.
Rebekah Brantley, a junior from Broken Arrow, Okla., started the scoring in the 23rd minute off an assist by Annie Bragg. Brantley scored her first goal as a Star.
In the 29th minute, Natalie Eley, a senior from Burton, England, scored off a cross from Bailey Webb with an assist from Madi Caputo. Eley tallied her second goal of the year. Shortly after intermission, Mea Gordon and Jessica Titsworth assisted Webb, a sophomore from Oklahoma City, for her second goal of the season.
Titsworth, a junior from Midwest City, Okla., added her first goal of the season in the 80th minute using Ashton Denham's assist.
Stars goalkeeper, Kristina Patterson, a junior from Rockwall, Texas, got her first start of the season in the win, Abigail Banks, a freshman from Sand Springs, Okla., collected her first minutes as a Star when she subbed in at the goal for the final 22 minutes. Patterson and Banks combined for the whitewash without ever facing a shot.
The Stars return to action 1 p.m. Saturday against Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) in Waxahachie, Texas.
