OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University dropped a 2-1 decision to Southwestern Christian on Tuesday night at Stars Field.
Andrija Sreckovic opened the scoring with OCU's only goal of the game in the second minute off an assist from James Beattie and Aboubakr Diallo. The Stars fell to 11-4, 6-3 in Sooner Athletic Conference men's soccer.
The Eagles (14-3, 6-2-1 SAC) spoiled OCU's opportunity to earn a share of the SAC regular-season championship. Jamie Campbell tallied his second goal of the night in the 95th minute.
Sreckovic, a junior from Kragujevac, Serbia, scored his fourth goal of the season. Southwestern Christian got on the board in the 18th minute when Campbell scored from just inside the box off an assist from Ignacio Ulloa.
Andre Salvador, a junior from São Bento do Sul, Brazil, recorded six saves in the defeat.
SCU held the edge in shots (17-15), and the teams both had eight shots on goal.
The Stars will host Mid-America Christian at Stars Field on Nov. 3 at a time to be determined for the first round of the SAC men's soccer tournament.
