OCU hosts Dig Pink, Let It Shine match

Stars face Texas Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Abe Lemons Arena

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University takes on Texas Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Abe Lemons Arena in the Stars' Dig Pink® and Let It Shine volleyball match.
The Stars will aim to raise awareness and money to fight cancer as well as honor OCU coach Santiago Restrepo's late son Javier.
Those involved with volleyball and the University of Oklahoma community rallied behind Javi as he battled leukemia. Javi got treatments and received transplants from relatives before passing at the age of 4 in July 2009.

There will be a bake sale, raffle for door prizes and a serving competition. Fans are invited to show their support by wearing pink and orange. Proceeds will go directly to benefit cancer research and the fight against cancer in Oklahoma.
Each year, tens of thousands of volleyball players, coaches and families across the country join the growing Dig Pink® Movement. Together, they support the development of treatments that are giving stage IV breast cancer patients more quality time with their families and getting them closer to the day we find a cure.
Admission will be $7 for adults and $5 for students. OCU students, faculty and staff get into all home Stars events with their ID.
