Randall of OCU takes SAC attacker of week

Stars’ Randall earns team’s first league attacker of week honor this year

OKLAHOMA CITY – Holly Randall of Oklahoma City University took home Sooner Athletic Conference attacker of the week honors for Oct. 16-22 after posting double-digit kills in three straight matches.
Randall, a senior from Edmond, Okla., helped propel the Stars to their 12th consecutive victory and home-court winning streak to 28 with a three-set sweep over St. Gregory's on Thursday night before falling to Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) in three sets on Saturday evening at Abe Lemons Arena.
She tallied 14 kills and three blocks against Our Lady of the Lake, while producing 16 kills and three blocks against St. Gregory's. Randall was one kill shy of matching her career high.
On the week, Randall totaled 41 kills, seven blocks and seven digs. She averaged 4.56 kills and 0.78 blocks per set. It was Oklahoma City's first attacker of the week honor this season.
OCU (17-6, 12-1 SAC) next faces John Brown (Ark.) at 6 p.m. Friday at Abe Lemons Arena. Follow the match live here.
