OCU draws with Mid-America

Stars move to 3-2-1 in conference play

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University and Mid-America Christian produced a scoreless draw after two overtime periods Tuesday night at Stars Field.
With the tie, OCU went to 10-3-1 overall and 3-2-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference men's soccer play, while Mid-America Christian went to 9-3-1 and 3-2-1 in the SAC.
The Stars notched only seven total shots in the match, one on goal. MACU had nine total shots and three on goal.
Oklahoma City had one of its best chances to score late in the first overtime period when a shot from Petar Djurdjevic found its way into the goal but was called back by the officials for a handball.
MACU's Dominik Tajak, the leading scorer in the SAC with 17 goals, fired seven of his team's nine attempts and had two saved by OCU's Vladimir Kalajdzic. Tajak had scored in every game but one entering Tuesday's contest.
Kalajdzic, a senior from Novi Sad, Serbia, garnered his seventh shutout of the year in the tie. He has 72 saves and 13 goals allowed this season.
OCU plays next against Bacone at 3 p.m. Saturday in Muskogee, Okla.
