OCU crushes USAO

18th-ranked Stars spoil USAO's first home match

CHICKASHA, Okla. – Oklahoma City University cruised past USAO on Thursday evening at USAO Fieldhouse.
Manon Soraru, a junior from Mulhouse, France, totaled a team-best 14 kills. The Stars, ranked 18th in NAIA volleyball, moved to 8-2, 2-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
OCU ruined the home opener for USAO, in its first season fielding a volleyball team.
Sanja Vojnovic, a junior from Bajeljena, Bosnia, amassed 36 assists, while Marijana Bjelobrk, a freshman from Belgrade, Serbia, posted 11 kills for OCU.
The Stars' Stefani Nell, a junior from Tulsa, Okla., picked up eight kills and 10 digs, and Dani Chase, a junior from Yukon, Okla., chipped in nine digs.
OCU faces seventh-ranked Park (Mo.) at 1 p.m. Friday in Baldwin City, Kan., in the Baker Invitational.
