Stars roll to 4-2 win over Central Baptist

Ribeiro socks winning goal at 29:54 mark

CONWAY, Ark. – Oklahoma City University pounded Central Baptist (Ark.) 4-2 on Monday at Centennial Soccer Park.
Juan Ocampo, Alexandre Taiar, Lucas Ribeiro and Andrew Flores generated goals for OCU. The Stars moved to 2-1 in men's soccer.
Ocampo, a senior from Boca Raton, Fla., provided OCU with a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute. Taiar, a junior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, knocked in OCU's second goal in the 20th minute before Ribeiro put the Stars ahead 3-0 in the 29th minute. Ribeiro, a senior from Campinas, Brazil, posted his first goal for OCU.
Andrew Flores, a freshman from Rowlett, Texas, salted away the Stars' victory by scoring in the 88th minute. Logan Stewart, a junior from Denton, Texas, set up Flores on his first collegiate goal.
Vladimir Kalajdzic, a junior from Novi Sad, Serbia, notched eight saves for the Stars. OCU produced 22 shots, 15 on goal, while Central Baptist had 15 shots, 10 on goal.
OCU takes on Oklahoma Baptist at 7 p.m. Thursday at Stars Field.
