Stars take 3-0 loss to Kansas Wesleyan

Thomas posts career-high 13 saves for OCU

SALINA, Kan. – Oklahoma City University fell to Kansas Wesleyan 3-0 on Saturday at the Graves Family Sports Complex in the NAIA women's soccer match of the week.
Cynthia Chavez netted the winning goal in the 15th minute for 17th-ranked Kansas Wesleyan. OCU dropped to 2-4.
Jen Rogers scored twice for Kansas Wesleyan (5-0-1). Allison Casey picked up two saves and the shutout in her first start of the season.
Keeley Brewer and Vanessa Mendoza supplied OCU with shots. Kirsten Thomas snagged a career-best 13 saves for the Stars.
Oklahoma City meets Bellevue (Neb.) at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at Stars Field.
