Stars drop 2-1 decision to Texas A&M-Texarkana

Chapman scores for OCU

TEXARKANA, Texas – Oklahoma City University fell short 2-1 to Texas A&M-Texarkana on Thursday at Eagle Field.
Aron Chapman, a senior from Sutton Coldfield, England, notched the Stars' goal. OCU dropped to 4-2 in men's soccer this year.
Chapman booted in his goal in the 88th minute. Chapman accrued his third career goal for Oklahoma City.
The Stars piled up 16 shots, including 10 in the second half. OCU posted nine shots on goal. Texas A&M-Texarkana generated 11 shots, five on goal. Juan Ocampo, a senior from Boca Raton, Fla., led the Stars with five shots.
Vladimir Kalajdzic, a junior from Novi Sad, Serbia, reeled in three saves for OCU. Zak McCarthy had eight saves for Texas A&M-Texarkana.
The Stars take on Kansas Wesleyan at 6 p.m. Saturday in Salina, Kan.
