Stars' Soraru becomes SAC player of week for third consecutive week

Junior from Mulhouse, France, totaled 56 kills, 11 blocks and nine aces last week

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's Manon Soraru reeled in Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball attacker of the week for the third consecutive time.
Soraru, a junior from Mulhouse, France, posted 3.29 kills, 0.88 digs, 0.65 blocks and 0.53 aces per set with a .416 hitting percentage during the week of Sept. 6-11.
This past week, Soraru's top performance included 14 kills against USAO on Thursday in Chickasha, Okla. Against Baker (Kan.), Soraru supplied OCU with 12 kills and five aces on Saturday in Baldwin City, Kan., as the Stars improved to 11-3 this year.
In 2016, Soraru has accumulated 3.44 kills, 0.52 blocks, 0.35 aces and 4.09 points a set this season.
The Stars, ranked 18th in NAIA volleyball, meet Bacone at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Muskogee, Okla.
