OCU drops 2-1 decision to Wiley

Brewer gives Stars only goal of match

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University fell short to Wiley (Texas) 2-1 on Saturday at Stars Field.
Keeley Brewer, a junior from Corinth, Texas, socked in the Stars' goal in the 80th minute. OCU dropped to 2-1 in women's soccer.
Brewer scored her second goal of the season unassisted. Britani Tripp booted a free kick that goalkeeper Keri Myers knocked back into the field. Brewer collected the rebound and nailed the goal.
OCU had four shots in the final five minutes of the contest in a bid to level the score. Kayla McKenna's attempt sailed high in the 86th minute, while Myers turned away Brianna Demuth's shot in the 87th minute.
Britani Tripp and Keilah Ayum tried shots for OCU in the final three minutes.
Wiley notched 12 shots to OCU's seven and had a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Myers finished with two saves, while Kirsten Thomas of OCU recorded five saves.
OCU hosts Oklahoma Wesleyan for a 7 p.m. match Tuesday at Stars Field.
