John Brown whitewashes Stars 5-0

OCU goes to 0-2 vs. ranked foes this year

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Oklahoma City University fell 5-0 Tuesday to 20th-ranked John Brown (Ark.) at Alumni Field.
Kirsten Thomas, a sophomore from Keller, Texas, recorded four saves in the match. John Brown, ranked 20th in NAIA women's soccer, went to 9-1-1, 3-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference, while OCU dropped to 3-7, 1-2 SAC.
The Golden Eagles were led by Kirsten Howell, who ended the game with a hat trick. Aspen Robinson scored JBU's other two goals.
John Brown ended the game with a 26-2 edge in shots and a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Britani Tripp, a senior from Edmond, Okla., led OCU in shots and shots on goal.
OCU will head to Waxahachie, Texas, to take on Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) at 2 p.m. Saturday.
