SHAWNEE, Okla. – Vladimir Kalajdzic recorded his third shutout of the year as Oklahoma City University prevailed 2-0 over St. Gregory's Tuesday at Fr. Victor Roberts Field.
Kalajdzic, a junior from Novi Sad, Serbia, played the entire game in goal in what was his ninth career shutout for OCU. The Stars moved to 11-3, 5-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference in men's soccer.
Alexandre Taiar continued his hot streak, scoring both goals for the Stars.
The first goal came in the 41st minute and the second came in 72nd off an assist from Petar Djurdjevic.
Taiar, a junior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, has now scored five goals in his last three games and is now tied for the conference lead in goals in conference games with six.
The assist from Djurdjevic was his second of the year and sixth of his career.
The Stars outshot St. Gregory's 17-6 and held a 9-0 advantage in shots on goal. OCU has four whitewashes overall this season.
OCU continues conference play Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas, with a match vs. Texas Wesleyan at 7 p.m.
