OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City University men's soccer team fell to Houston-Victoria 3-2 in the second period of overtime Sunday at Stars Field.
Petar Djurdjevic scored his first goal of the year in the 28th minute off an assist by Logan Stewart. In the 75th minute, Stewart headed a Djurdjevic cross into the net to tie the game and eventually force overtime. Jonathan Valdez scored the golden goal in the 108th minute off an assist by Hector Ramirez. Stanley Smith scored Houston-Victoria's first goal of the day in the 22nd minute from an assist by Ramirez. Espen Hansen netted the second goal in the 26th minute from a Jonathan Valdez assist.
The Jaguars held the shot advantage 19-13. Vladimir Kalajdzic recorded eight saves for the Stars, now 0-6 on the season. Brian Redmond registered three saves and improved to 4-2 as Houston-Victoria goalkeeper. The Stars return to action 7 p.m. Tuesday against Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas).
