OCU falls to JBU

Stars fall to 1-7, 1-1 in 2015

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City University men's soccer team lost to John Brown (Ark.) 2-0 on Tuesday at Stars Field in the Stars' second Sooner Athletic Conference game of the season.
The Stars moved to 1-7, 1-1 in the SAC, while JBU improved to 7-4-1, 3-0 in the SAC. The Stars goalkeeper Vladimir Kalajdzic, a sophomore from Novi Sad, Serbia, notched seven saves in the losing effort.
Djordje Djordjevic, a freshman from Smederevska Palanka, Serbia, narrowly missed his first goal of the year in the 15th minute as his shot pounded off the crossbar.
Aaron Estrada scored in the 32nd minute from an assist by Kelvin Omondi. Marco Cardona put the game away with a goal in the final minute off a Guilherme Barbosa assist.
Adam Holt tallied five saves and improved to 7-4-1 as JBU's goalkeeper. The Golden Eagles owned the shot advantage at 20-10.
The Stars return to action 4 p.m. Saturday against Southwestern Christian in Bethany, Okla.
