CHICKASHA, Okla. – Oklahoma City University lost its last regular-season game of 2015 to University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma 2-1 on Saturday at Drover Pitch.
Volney Richardson, a senior from Flower Mound, Texas, scored his second goal of the season for the only Stars' goal of the game. OCU dropped to 6-9, 6-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. USAO, ranked 10th in NAIA men's soccer, improved to 16-2, 9-0 in SAC play.
The Drovers' struck first in the 13th minute with an Alex Breadman goal set up by Lleywellyn Evans' assist.
Richardson notched the game up at 1-1 in the 58th minute with an unassisted goal.
A minute later, Breadman scored his second goal of the game off a cross by Stephen Owusu to put the Drovers up 2-1.
The Stars goalkeeper Vladimir Kalajdzic registered two saves, while Daniel Merkel had four saves and moved to 4-1 as the Drovers goalkeeper.
USAO held the shot advantage 15-9.
The SAC tournament pairings will be released at the conclusion of the regular season.
